Chalk Plans Kenneth Feliciano

This was the rough draft of the making of the chalk piece.  In the chalk festival Apex Highschool went to win,  and this piece was made by my group with more color, the main goal was to get a tree with a colorful background.

Bust Kenneth Feliciano

This is a picture of the bust made by Kenneth Feliciano.  This bust consists of very bright colors as well as texturized clay.  The different lines around the face gives the character the sense of being a native american, as well as his features.

Fingerpainting Kenneth Feliciano

In this fingerpainting, Kenneth Feliciano made a selfportrait.  The hat on top creates movement, as well as the colors that fill it in.  The texture in the hat makes it seem like a straw hat.  Also, the altered colors change the image, giving one a different sense of color.  As the colors keep changing, they are all connected through another part of the portrait.  In conclusion, this painting was a result of a vivid imagination and very detailed work.

Museum Sketch Kenneth Feliciano

This was a drawing from the trip to the museum.  This was a black statue that was a bust, which showed only the head of the sculpture, which was also the head of another sculpture made bigger.

Scanography by Kenneth Feliciano

In this Scanography project, Kenneth Feliciano creates flow through the use of different found objects.  The use of coins put together creates a triangle, which is broken by the fold of the napkin which leads to the focus of the disk.

Photography Photoshop by Kenneth Feliciano

This was a photoshop assignment of a picture taken.  The filter chosen shows the picture more texturized.

Photography by Kenneth Feliciano

In these photographs Kenneth Feliciano shows the changing world through technological advances.  The most used approach of taking pictures is to use lines given through the environment to create a picture with movement, but meaning.

Caligraphy

Caligraphy by Kenneth Feliciano was the learning of caligraphy.  During class we had to practice the alphabet in caligraphy, and apply it to our books.

Altered Book by Kenneth Feliciano

This altered book by Kenneth Feliciano portrays found objects, watercolor paintings with ink, regular watercolor and calligraphy.  The watercolor paintings make you move back and forth through the piece.  The  contrast between the black and line around the found objects help the focus to stay on the watercolor and found objects.  The contrast of colors cause the watercolor ink paintings to standout. The caligraphy used makes a scene within the left page of the piece.

Classic Dog by Kenneth Feliciano

In "Classic Dog", Kenneth Feliciano creates a print of a dog.  The wallpaper chosen moves your eyes around the print.  The print has several layers of colors.  The print has curves that go along with the background images.

Eyes by Kenneth Feliciano

In "Eyes" by Kenneth Feliciano the artist portrays a girl  with the background of a baseball field on a scratchboard.  Using the technique of crosshatch, the artist makes a scratchboard turn into a detailed showing of a portrait.  As well, the artist creates movement by choosing a background that makes your eyes move from the bottom-left to the middle-right and finishing on the top left, while still keeping the focus on the girl.

Americana by Kenneth Feliciano

In "Americana" by Kenneth Feliciano the artist portrays his influence of the day of the dead in a photo-shopped painting.  All bright colors contrast with the natural black background of the scratchboard.  The red spread out through the rose, around the eyes and the chin causes your eyes to move around the whole painting.

Colored Faces

In "Colored Faces" by Kenneth Feliciano the artist portrays people in a mix of watercolor, ink and marker.  The bright marker contrasts with the dark watercolor.  The ink around the outside is a finish to make the color pop out of the painting.  The showing of different angles in faces, or parts of the bodies shows movement.
